Introducing Heroes by GameWisp

Reward and recognize your biggest fans with Twitch gift subscriptions.

One of the biggest pieces of news to come out of the keynote address at last month’s TwitchCon was the announcement that subscription gifting was coming. The community has been clamoring for this particular feature since subscriptions were first introduced way back when, and, this week, the curtain was finally pulled back as Twitch released gift subscriptions to the world!

Now, you can give a one-month subscription to anyone on Twitch, at all three price points, and the community is already diving right in and taking advantage, with creators using the feature to reward fans and viewers sharing their favorites with friends.

We at GameWisp are absolutely in love with the idea of gift subscriptions, and it gave us an idea: what if streamers could feature their own fans, the ones they think are most deserving of a subscription, right under their stream? Creators could use it to reward their biggest fans, or even share those who deserve to subscribe, but night not be able to afford it, so that their audience. can band together and bring more fans into the community.

We told Twitch our idea. They loved it. And now, just in time for the holidays, we’re releasing it together.

So, what was once the GameWisp Teams extension has been replaced by Heroes. You can still use it to show off your stream team, but now, you can also create your Sub Gift Wishlist, calling out the viewers you think are most deserving. Fans can select the viewer and give the gift of subscription right through the extension.

We believe that it’s the community both on your stream and throughout the platform that makes the Twitch experience what it is. The Heroes extension gives you the chance to recognize those people in your community.

To start, you will be able to show off your stream team, and sub gift lists. But over time, we’re going to be giving you all sorts of ways to show off the members of the community that matter most to you. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to show you what else we have in store.
